Going from your description: Both have the "coontail", but C.S. has black bands that are considerably narrower than the white. Main key seems to be the postocular stripe. In C.s., it passes above the corner of the mouth, in C.a., it reaches the mouth in front of the back corner. Either way, I would say if the dog is displaying neuro or cytotoxic symptoms, continue antivenin, although I am not sure how effective Wyeth is against scutulatus. I wish you well in the fight.
