So, is the Plains Hognose, Heterodon nasicus nasicus, what is commonly called the Western Hognose? And there is also the subspecies Heterodon n. kenerlyi, the Mexican, and Heterodon n. gloydi is now thought to be a variation of n. nasicus, not a separate subspecies? Is that everyone's understanding of this group?
Thanks,
