1-Buy panes of glass about 1/8"-1/4" in thickness and whatever size you want the glass to be. I use 24" by 24" and 1/8" thickness

2-find any cool color spray paint you like at your local home improvement store.

3-spray several coats on ONE SIDE ONLY to get an even cover

4-your done, use the non-painted side to put your snakes on for awesome photos without any costly fabrics and you don't have to deal with background flaws and defects.

I have some primary glass backgrounds that I use to bring out the true color of my morphs.
-White
-Black
-Pewter metalic
-Sandstone speckled ( made by American accents )
-Cobalt blue *great for high contrast albinos*
-Copper metalic
-Chrome metalic for a mirror effect
the list goes on and on

Give it a shot. It hardly costs anything, highly effective, no messing with contrast or brightness to eliminate other background flaws i.e cloth folds and the reflectivness of the flash when used on dark fabrics. Hundreds of colors can be used ranging in price from $1-$9 for each spraypaint can. Note the textured American accent paints are the most expensive at about $8 a can.
