As an artist, I'd also like to mention that color choice plays an important role and can be used to your advantage.
If you really want to make your snake's colors pop, use the his/her color's complement as a background. For those unfamiliar, complementary colors pair as follows:
-Blue and orange
-Red and green
-Purple and yellow
For example, if you want the yellow to stand out on your lovely, then use purples in the background. Because most of the yellow coloring is golden-orangish, blue will also work. This is why the cobalt blue looks so great with the high contrast albinos.
Just make sure that the background color is not so bright and intense that it blinds the eyes more than it pleases them.
