I remember seeing that picture in the past, I assume we have discussed it before.

I suspect that is just a "normal" G. janseni as a huge number of highly variable and bizzare G. janseni were imported from Sulawesi and surround archipelego in the past ten years. Importers describe this species as a highly variable snake. However, there may be someting of an intergrade zone among some of those islands and perhaps that snake originated from there. It seems highly unlikely that G. janseni is limited to just the islands of Sulawesi and Seleyar.

Regardless, I do think that Gonyosoma would work for some of your interests.

Current snakes:

0.0.1 Gonyosoma oxycephala - Java locale (green)

1.2 Gonyosoma oxycephala - Jave local (green)

2.2 Gonyosoma janseni - Seleyar locale (all black)

1.2 Gonyosoma janseni - Celebes locale (Black & Tan)
