Hey everyone...wondering if anyone's cham has stopped eating for extended period of time and what I should do?
My 1 yr old panther hasn't shown one bit of interest in food for 2 weeks now. I gotta say he was on the plump side before he stopped eating. He is still drinking a lot everyday and is very active (he free roams the room but hangs out near his cage with the lights most of the day). He has only defecated twice since he stopped, 1cm with a lot more urinate.
He's done this once before, but it only lasted 1 week.
The only things I can think of are:
Possibly he's impacted (might put some mineral oil down his mouth tomorrow).
It's starting to get cold where I live and along with the light change maybe it's just a seasonal thing happening?
Now that this has gone on for two weeks I'm getting concerned. He's still really active, likes to roam the room a lot).
We had warm weather out the past couple days so I stuck him in the sun for a bit, but still no interest (he used to go outside 3-4 times a week until the last month and half or so).
Suggestions please?
Background Info:
Cham free roams the room, but is cup fed
Mostly eats gutloaded(kale and wildeye reptiles mix) crickets, superworms, 1 waxworm a day, sometimes a butterworm.
Has fresh reptisun bulb, adequate heating and misting system at his cage. Gets herpitive 1-2 times a week, and crix dusted in spirilina once a week.
