I am a prober at heart (haha) but I have been popping my hatchlings as well as it is easier and for the most part more obvious! When I pop a male it seems their hemepenies are always red or pink, while a female only has the brownish sac. Will a female ever exhibit any kinds of redness in her sac (if she is healthy) or is she always going to be "tan". I've noticed this is the case with every hatchling I have popped, is it true overall though? I have a male who probes at 7 on both sides, and when you pop him he doesn't seem to have the most elaborate hemipenies that my other similar sized boys do (or at least it is not easy to pop them out), but he does have very small red stumps on each side of his vent...with the probe depth as well he is certainly a boy, but it got me thinking whether or not the redness is good enough.
