She was hungry and wanted to eat but she was seeing the heat from your finger and it was probably hotter then the mouse. If it was a live mouse, you should just drop it in the tank/tub with her. She'll go after it on her own. If it was dead, you should warm it up and dangle it using long tweezers or tongs. Never feed right out of your hand unless you like to be bitten and want to scare the snake out of feeding. I suggest that you offer her a mouse every 4 to 5 days. I wouldn't worry about her unless she doesn't eat for a month or more and is losing weight. At her size she probably won't go off feed for quite a while. As long as she is given properly sized food in the proper manner and her habitat is comfortable for her. She looks very nice. Good luck with her.
