In the scale of things, its less - smaller enclosure and less wattage on the heat lamps. The mist system is tied into all of my cages so they are all on the same mist schedule. I keep my pair of carpets in 38g reptariums (one reptarium for each).



The carpets give me less trouble then my veiled, they dont go on hunger strikes, eat pretty much whatever I offer and drink pretty well on their own from the mist system. I personally think that a CB carpet (NOT WC) makes a pretty good first cham choice. Of course I say that with the little experience I have with carpets and the fact that all critters are different. So you could get a CB carpet that gives you a lot of trouble.



Carpets also have good potential to acclimate to captivity too. They are one of the only species in Madagascar that can adapt to changes to their envrionment brought upon by humans (Necas book).
