http://www.hognose.com has a caresheet.
I've had a yearling for a few weeks. One thing that makes him different from my other snakes, including my Eastern, is he is ALWAYS buried. He is in his hides, either warm or cool, but inside the hide he likes to be under aspen shavings. Sometimes he is not under the hides, but still buried. He has shown no interest in climbing- so I wouldn't spend a lot on branches or vines (except vines are nice decorations.)
He's a _great_ eater of unscented f/t peach fuzzies. One day I was feeding several snakes and he was last in line, so I felt I ought to rewarm his mouse. I didn't wash my hands before going to get him out to move to his feeding container, and he tried to eat my palm! So I'd recommend thorough handwashing after handling mice before handling the hoggy.
When he eats, he bites the mouse in the middle and holds it for several minutes before rearranging and swallowing it head first. I am speculating that he is "killing" the mouse by envenomating it. He does this every time.
He is very gentle and fun to deal with. He isn't as clingy as other snakes so I make sure to have his body supported all the time- I don't depend on him to hold on to me. He makes a great photo subject because when I set him down- he wants to burrow, not run away.
Have fun with yours! They are _wonderful_ snakes.
