lots of hard work. very long days and nights, and knowledge of what it is your doing.. It takes dedication and when all else fails you need to have a love for the animal to get you through those days when you have to push those extra few hours and dont want to move. Luckily my fiance and i have been together since we first opened our buisness, it is always helpful to have some one too give you that extra push when it is needed. There have been days when you get up at 6 in the morning for work, you get home at 5 and start working with the snakes, before your done working you look at the clock and its 2 in the morning, and you still need to sleep so you can get up at 6 and do it all over again. When you are working with animals the job NEVER ends, there will always be a dirty cage or a hungry mouth. The politics of the trade can be brutal but try not to pay too much attention too them, if you listen too them too much you can get sucked in, try and stay focused on what you love and the reason why you originally started in the trade ..
Good luck too you
