As long he is healthy and youthful (some older chams will not mate), you may be able to stimulate him. Some breeders will simulate a cool season by gradually lowering temps a little and the chameleon will naturally decrease its appetite. After a period of six weeks or more, the temperature is raised, again gradually. After the chameleon has went through the simulated cool season, this often stimulates them into breeding and courtship practices. Another simple method would be to show the male chameleon his reflection in a mirror for a little while. He may think it is another chameleon and males who are fighting over a female will often pursue the female. Just a couple of tips, but some males just aren't interested. | ||
