What?
They are meat eaters and many people are feeding them vegetable based protein so the manufacturer can makes higher profits..... Carnivores have a short gut...they have little "hairs" which slow down the passing of the food and they absorb the nutrients...give them fiber and it flies through them tearing away these 'hairs" which do not regrow. Secondly these "hairs" clog up with gluten"(used to hold biscuit and kibble together)....any large kibble has this and it is also bad. If it is not holistic it is food tainted with steriods, antibiotics and hormones..your dog eats it and it becomes part of it....they get hot spots and allergies because of what we feed them. These 'allergies' are from the damage of what we are feeding them..... some contents of food leach through the intestines into the body cavity and we see a rash or this or that..... the food made it happen.... there's a lot to this.
Maat based diet....not beef meal..... there are lots of fillers like corn stalk, ground wood pulp and parts from a slaughter house(essentially the waste parts)
any kind of meal means there is all sorts of junk in it!!...loose terms...
Salmon is great!!
Bison is great....
Less soluble protein means a lean mean doggie with less waste...not fat and life shortened!!
Feeding them vegetable based proteins is not good for the dog...it appeals to "our" food sense..not the animals. I have learned a great deal about this and still know little.
Better food means you are buying food that is soluble to your animal....cheaper corn based crud means you are buying a lot but it seems a good value...
So there!
