Other variables include the ambient temperature of the room and how high the heating element is placed above the cage floor. You really won't know unless you break out a themometer. If the snake is in something the size of a 20-gallon aquarium, you'd probably be better off taking a more conservative route and using a 40, 60 or 75 watt red (or black) light bulb. [ Hide Replies ]
