they can take waterfowl thru January and some small game thru March. There are some limitations by location and species, but snowshoe hare, fisher, can be taken even here (I am in mid/southeast of state) and red and gray fox and racoon statewide. Also statewide, coyote, skunk, woodchuck and weasel are fair game year round with no limits. Crow are taken almost all year and again, no limits. Believe me - they ain't bb guns! Two shots just went off as I am writing this...
