I have bin bit by baby snapping turtles many times no pain or marks but about 7-8 years ago i saw a big female snapper walking across a parking lot. I went over to help her across on the far side was a pond she was heading when i went to pick her up and snapped back real fast and bit a good chunk of my left pinkie off. It was under the nail and bleed pritty good. i still have a scar from it.
