Has anyone been able to rear up baby rudis? If so,what were their husbandry requirements and their nutritional requirements? Did you rely on gutloading or did you supplement also? If you did use supplements which ones? I have not been able to rear up baby rudis past one month old! I keep them in a tank with high humidity,temps are in the lower 70s on the cool end with a small hot spot of 82. I tried supplementing the last litter with miner-all but lost them within two weeks. This time I am skipping the supplement and using a proffesioonal made gutload ,fresh fruit collard greens mixed in with the gutload and occasionally organic mollases. Fruit flies do seem to be gutloading on the mix. The baby rudis of this current litter are about at the 2 week mark and I lost one today. The others seem to be cruising around as normal but am wondering what improvements I can make. I have heard that panthers are much hardier. Any opinions out there because I have a clutch on its way. By the way,the adult rudis have sprung back beautifully and I have no problems with the mom rudis. In fact I find them to be pretty hardy,the babies on the other hand continue to be a challange. Help,much appreciated!
