The temps in the room the cage will be in will affect this too. Basically, the cham wants one brightly lit, warm place (er, like the sun!) to absorb heat. One regular warm perch that he can always get to is fine.



BTW, temp guns are the greatest. You can check temps of any surface (like your cham) at any time in a few seconds without needing to touch or disturb anything. Reading surface temp is more meaningful than measuring the temperature of the air around a thermometer bulb.
