I'm new to the Chameleon forum, having never owned Chameleons, although I think I'll have to make more visits over here. Friend of mine has what I think is a veiled, and since he's never had a reptile before (scary combo), I've been helping him out some with the care but I really should do more homework...

Anyway, the real reason I'm here:

I work at a petstore that is part of a larger corporation, although I won't say which one. We usually get to choose which reptiles we get in, although sometimes corporate in its infinite wisdom "pushes" some animals on us. A pair of Jackson's chameleons is one such case. They have been placed in seperate enclosures, although unforunately we must keep them in glass cages (again, corporate in its infinite wisdom...). The female seems to have handled this rather well, and is eating and drinking and otherwise looks like a perfectly healthy chameleon.

The male, however, isn't doing quite as well. Takes a bit more effort to ensure that he gets water and that he's eating. He's also got some funny bluey-grey spots on him. Our animals are, unfortunately, wild caught, and my concern is that its a sort of fungus, like our entire batch of lacertas caught the last time some were sent to us. Here's a couple pictures of him, and maybe you folks can tell me what's going on. The spots are on the creases between his feet and his legs, and there's a few on his back as well.

He's quite a personable little fellow and already will walk right up on my hand when I put it in the cage, but the wierd spots worry me.

Also, if anyone with experience with Jackson's could tell me if there's a visible difference at this size between a regular Jackson's and the dwarf Jackson's? I wasn't there when we received the fellows, so I couldn't ask the vendor about them.

Anyway, any and all help and advice appreciated!
