My newt has a Broken Leg!!!! Help

Just got my little fire bellied newt a week ago, and my ghost knife fish has broken his back leg. It's now unuseable and turning white. Will he live? Very worried for him. Also neither of the two newts have eaten yet, they have blood worm on their platform in a 130 litres community fish tank. The temp is set to 30 c but can't really lower it at the moment.
