Absotively! Females get what I call "The Big Drink of Water" shortly before ovulation. I love to see that and watch for it. I make note of when it happens and most of the time, ovulation follows very soon afterward. Boas never really drink a lot of water at any one time if you keep it available at all the times. Then as they develop their egg follicles, they require a whole lot more water for those puppies. Thus, "The Big Drink of Water". I love when that happens! Here is a larger image of the scene:
