The pattern that makes Motleys look like Motleys. The strongly connecting pattern and side stripes make Motleys Motleys. Not simply a connected pattern seen in many Boas, especially those that have many saddles. Not a chain like pattern. Not a "kind of looks like" a Motley pattern. Not a Boa that has plenty of side blotches that are a bit smeary or connected lightly. The Motley has full stripes on the sides. Not blotches that are irregularly connected. The Motley is a co-dominant trait that produces supers. It is not polygenic but co-dominant. When bred with non-Motleys it produces Motleys and non-Motleys, not anything in between or normal looking.

When bred with Hypos, nearly all Hypo Motleys no longer retain the classic Motley pattern. Chris Nicholas has the only one I know to exist. I am sure he has pictures of it but for some reason he doesn't not post it near as often as I would, given the fact that it's the only one so far. Post that puppy Chris! It's a beauty!
