corrugated cardboard

Hey I was thinking about using corrugated cardboard, but does anyone have problems using this over belly heat? Specifically, does the heat transfer well to the top of the cardboard?



The way I have the cages setup is flexwatt under the cages and the probe of the thermostat directly one the floor of the cage to keep it a steady 88-89. If I put the cardboard over this will the 88-89 temps be present on the top surface of the cardboard?



Any help is appreciated, thanks.
