I wouldn't overfeed like that. I had a female RES once that overstuffed and not thinking I just kept feeding her more superworms. Eventually she puked them all up, making a huge mess, and wouldnt eat them for a long time.
A reasonable meal is good, overfeeding a turtle is bad. Building up fat and a full belly inside a restricted space (the shell) means other organs lose room, so things like lungs cannot inflate fully, etc. These guys are driven to gorge themselves when the opportunity presents itself as a survival tactic. Allowing it very rarely is okay, but it's not really necessary in captivity, so I'd recommend feeding reasonably.
