Actually, that's a pretty good question. I can't say I really know why, but I have a few ideas. Most boas can change colors to a degree, so this could account for some differences. Also, I think most baby colombian bci's start gray and change some with age. Another explanation could be that many of the boas being offered for sale originate from a certain locality and the older ones people have on here came from different places when they got them. Hopefully someone else can say "Don't listen to Kevin, he's stupid." and give you a real answer. But until then, that's the best I can do.
