Amanda,

Coral trait is just that it is a trait produced by selective breeding and not a gene.Pete Kahl originally came across this trait and through selective breeding enhanced and perfected it.

Other boa breeders have stumbled across it in there babies. Some say it may be tied in with the Pastel Trait.

Coral to Coral breeding does not always produce all Corals.Varying degrees of Coraling will exhist throughout the whole litter. Some may EXPRESS Tremendous amounts and other may show very little or even none. They are called LOW / HIGH expression Corals.

If you have a high expression Coral and breed it to a regular albino you are more likely get some nice Coral babies.

If you where to breed a Low expression Coral to a normal albino you are most likely get very little to no coral babies.

If you where to breed 2 Low expression Coral togeather you would most likely get nice Coral babies from that pairing.

I have also heard that a Low Expression Corals have been able to pass on Extrem Coraling to their offspring like Boa Morphs Line.

So you really never know.Very little is known about the Coral gene. How it works is still a little bit of a mystery.

I have not yet produced Corals. The information that I am passing on to you is strictly from my own studies and my TRUE LOVE for this AWESOME MORPH.

I have 2 pair of Coral Hets and still have two more years till I can breed.

Good Luck hope this helps.
