I cover all my plants with plastic canvas. It is used for crafts and can be found (CHEAP!) in any store that carry craft items. It comes in 7 mesh ans 10 mesh. The numbers refer to how many holes/square inch (7 has 7/sq". It is easy to cut and never rusts. it lets water in but not a chameleon's tongue and it lets water evaporate so you don't end up with a fungus gnat problem (harmless but annoying as ....). You can get it in sheets 8x11" and 11x17" )or there about. It even comes in all sorts of colors, so you can get green or black so it doesn't show. I prefer the white on my main/big plants so I can find dropped super worms, poop, etc. but use dark on the smaller hanging plants. I hold it in place with bent, coated paper clips.
