Posted by: blupanther at Mon Jan 15 06:26:15 2007 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by blupanther ] My male ambilobe panther "Sniper" has been restless the last two weeks ever since he caught a glimpse of "cinnamon". Unfortunately, she freaked at first sight of him. Since they are kept outdoors here in S. Florida, I figured the temps in the 70's and 80's were not putting her in the mood, since they breed in summer in Madagascar. I aimed a heat lamp at her cage to raise the temps a bit to fool her body into thinking it is summer. Yesterday morning I let him try again and he succeeded in seducing her. Normally I would just let her come into season naturally since that is the purpose of my outdoor setup, but Sniper was so restless and I had to empathize, being male myself. [ Hide Replies ]
