I for one am still evolving my process and somethings work and some don't. Answers below in blue

>>I have a long time to wait for breeding but want to absorb all the knowledge I can from you guys.

>>

>>1-How long did you cool them? I start my cooling on thanksgiving, an easy day to remember and for me in CA, have to wait for winter to get temps down low enough. I've been keeping the temps down until Valentines day but this year I'm going to start warming in a week or two. I dropped the night time temps to 69 and the daytime to 74.

>>2-How long did you wait to feed them after they warmed up? I feed through the cool period until they stop in their own.

>>3-How long after they are warmed up do you introduce them? I opened up the tubes last week so they could introduce themselves. Have not started wariming them. Already have breeding going on in at least one trio.

>>4-Since courting can take awhile, are there factors that tell when you should first put them together like after they poop, fresh sheds or restlessness? Mainly when the stop eating also they can become restless, out and about but won't eat. ANY time I see hemipenal sheds or other emisions

>>5-How long do you wait to feed them again after you introduce them (strict 2 week feeding schedule)? They stay seperated for how long (seperate one day, feed next day, and digestion day or wait til they poop or back together asap)? In the past I didn't open up the tubes until they had stopped eating. This year I've already opened up the tubes. I'll probably pick a day and close off tubes (ONLY for a group that is NOT breeding) feed, and wait a day or two before re-opening.

>>6-Do you feed them normal prey sized items or only smaller ones for the females or does that comes later after copulation? Normal size prey until breeding starts, then for mine, typically won't eat again until the babies come. I do occasionally offer food but at a half size of normal (more like a snack) and twice the normal time span, like once a month. Have to tailor the=at to the individual female, if one is eating, I'll offer another sooner than for one that constantly refuses. My females almost always refuse feed. Once the breeding is done, the males will go back on feed and go back to once every few weeks.

>>7-I know Dave has his oak breeding cabinets but the rest, do you put the female with the male or vice versa? LOL, guess you've got me pegged. Seriously, I don't know that it really matters. Mine don't stay to a specific location once I open the tubes. They don't seem to be territorial. Unless of course you have two males together with receptive female(s), then a whole lot of pushing and shoving going on.

>>

>>Thanks for your time and the best of luck to you all

>>Bob
