I believe that picture was taken in Thailand. Everybody is entitled to their opinion, but that is thier culture. They keep those large Burms and Retics just like some people over here keep dogs and cats. Do a search on it and you'll find that thier are many cultures spread over Asia that do the same thing. I do believe it has a religious backround but I can't remember the specifics
