I do not agree with your assessment concerning in-observant folks. Economic and spacial constraints force many breeders to market their offspring and limit "hold back" abilities. I feel most breeders are concentrating on refinement of their collections with a smaller emphasis placed upon development of new morphs.
I also think that many of us would have collections that numbered in the hundreds if we could. Where could we possibly develop and maintain such a large collection??
