Just wanted to add to your post. It was actually Albert Killian back in 1983 who was responsible for producing the first burmese X retic hybrids here in the U.S. Additionally, it was not an intentional breeding, and was the result of a union between a female burmese and a male retic. Back then they were called Burtics.
