Its easy, I learned the hard way like your going through. I tried misting, I tried aspen bedding. That worked ok but was a pain to clean and got all over the place. I tried moss but that did not last to long. So here is how I got the humidity up.
First cover the vents in the back with plastic. I have a 6ft and cover the whole back. My 4ft vision I cover all but 6 inches on the light side.
Part two, get a heater and put it under your cage.
Part three get a rubbermaid container that is pretty big, and fill it up and put it on the heater. This will keep the water at a nice temp and your air perfect for your retic.
I use news paper for the ground. ----- 0.2 Rotts
