what should i do

i put my male in with my female today for some action maybe when my female hit and coiled around the male.after a minute or so she released the male.her feeding response is like every other and now my male has a nice cut about 3/8ths of an inche.has this ever happen and what should i do for the cut.i never experinced something like this before.
