No, that is not correct. The first amel was purchased by Peter Kalh. Pete named the morph amel which he had every right after paying more then $75,000 for the animal. Peter Kahl, & Al and Cindy worked a partnering agreement in breeding this line. Bob purchased hets from the Baldogo/Kahl first clutch and produced amels a couple of years later and called them Type II's. He felt that it was the same line as a wild caught animal that he imported around the same time. I have heard claims that Bob bred the amel line to the wild caught Type II, though not from Bob himself.
