A bit of my background before we get to my confusion. I have been involved with reptiles for 15 plus years and have been breeding snakes for 10 of those years. The last five years was strictly python breedings.

So here is my dazing and confusing.

I have a female Jampea that is now six years old. She has normal Jamp coloring. Last year I want to say in August 06 she had "the glow" and stopped eating. I wasn't figuring she would be gravid as she had not been cycled or had not been with a male since early may. She's shed three times since Oct and had gone back to her normal coloring. The male was put in with her for a few months kicking him out in late Dec, early Jan.

Well now she has "the glow" again and is still just as thick. She has also not moved off the hot side of her enclosure for almost two weeks. I've only seen her off the hot side to stretch across her cage get a drink then right back to the heat.

My question is (I know. About time. lol) she gravid, ovulating, just looking pretty or what? This is my first confusion on if a snake was gravid or what. I also cannot palpate her. She is a flighty little lady.

Here are the pictures taken of her "glow" back in August.

For about the last week or two she has looked EXACTLY like this.

Sorry for no current pictures. I have no camera.

Anyway ............ Thank you for looking and any advice or opinions.
