The tape conducts some of the heat from the heat rope and gives me a wider area of heat. The tape is not as hot as the heat rope itself, but it still gets pretty warm. If you can't spend the money right now on flexwatt, than this is a cheaper alternative that you can try. I don't remember off hand the exact name of the tape but it is used in A/C applications because it remains very adhesive even in the presence of moisture. Check the section of your local hardware store where all the a/c vents and a/c filters are. [ Hide Replies ]
