The POS is generally 14-21 days from the day the female ovulates. Some females don't have a POS. I have a female Het. Albino that has produced three litters for me and has never had a POS so it doesn't always happen, it is nice if it does beacause then you can calculate your due date from it which is usually 105 days /- 5days so it can vary! Since you have seen what you thought was her ovlation you can also calculate the due date from that. The formula I use for that is 120days /- 5days and that should give you a fairly good idea of when she is due! If she is piled up on the hot spot and not leaving it then that is a good indicatior as well. The female I talked about had a nice litter of 13albinos and 14Het. Albinos this year and she went 146days from the day she ovulated so the formula doesn't work all the time. It was kind of crazy we had a major heat wave last summer and five weeks without rain. The day she dropped I had gone on trip with my Dad to pickup a rifle and when we started pulling back into Chattanooga it had rained. I bet my Pop a $100 that when we got back to my house I would have baby boas.I was right, not a bad day Baby Albinos and $100! And I got to look like a genius to my Dad that thinks the whole SNAKE BIZ is crazy to begin with!
