If I were you I would just spend alot of time looking over the classefieds. There are usually pix accompanying what animals are being sold. After a while looking thru (a while meaning weeks or even months) you will be able to distinguish one from the next. A simple explanation won't really work in this case, you will have to see many different examples of each locale to become proficient at spotting not only what each one "probably" is but the better quality ones as compared to the ones that are not as high end. Takes a little bit of time but it is well worth the study.
