My CA females are all more slender than comparitive length and age Colombians. For example, my currently gravid 66% het Blood is just shy of 6ft. and prior to breeding was about the diameter of a coke can. While a 6ft. Colombian female can be double that girth easily.

You may want to email Gus Rentfro, since he has some of the most, if not the most experience with Hog Islands out of any breeder in the country.

Depending on the bloodline of your animals adult females can be between 5-7ft. and with this range there would be a respectable range in girth.

As long as the female was 3 years old and raised properly I'd say she should be ready.

I never got the weight on my female before she was bred, however I also have a Gee line Hypo that is about the same size, she weighs just under 8lbs. I would guess Hog Island females to be in the same ball park, maybe a little less. but again, there are big Hogs.

I hope this helps. Maybe someone with experience with Hogs will reply and help you out better.
