About two weeks ago, the sunglow went into shed. I pulled him out and fed the female, because I really didn't think she was going to end up taking this year. Once the male shed out, I fed him and gave him a couple days to digest. I stuck him back in with the female on Friday and he began courting again right away. By Sunday, he was hiding under the water bowl. I pulled him out and put him on the female, but he kept going right back to the water bowl. At this point, I was sure of not getting babies from this pair, so I pulled the male to let him rest. Then last night, I saw this. I think it was the tail end of an ovulation as I did not check on the female yesterday morning. What do you guys think? Ovulation?
I also really want to thank Dave Lee for trusting me enough to loan me his sunglow.
