Actually, it's better not to when they're young because then you can usually keep them eating and growing over the time they would stop eating during cooling. But when they're old enough to breed, it's pretty much a necessity. There's always the possibility of getting lucky, but it increases your chances of success astronomically if you cool them for at least a month before introducing them to each other. | ||
