Global warming and climate change in general are a fact. Man made global warming is the fantasy of a bunch of arrogant carpetbaggers. The environment or the earth are their "god".



Al Gore is a fool but I'm not letting some oil and energy companies off the hook for turning "green" so that they can cash in on higher energy prices. Energy companies have little or no control over the price of their product. OPEC has little or no control. The president has NO control. The house and senate have zero control. It's the (stock) market. It's really controlled by fear. If there are hurricanes or unrest and the ding dong media makes a big deal of it the price goes up. Stability and the price goes down. So the presidents of Venezuala and Iran know if they can taunt the US they can keep the prices up.



But here in the US companies like BP (British petroleum) and some others know if they can invest in wind farms and drive home the myth that we are running out of oil/gas so they can build on the fear and artifically keep prices up too.



I'd love to see the USA commission the US Navy to build and run nuclear power plants the same way we've commissioned the Army Corp. of engineers to build structures. The US Navy has an excellent record of running hundreds of nuke powers on every submarine most carriers and dozens of other surface ships. Most of Europe and Japan (and many in the USA for that matter) have safely powered their economys for decades. It would also put a hurting on some of these "green" oil/gas companies.



Oh and one more point about Algore. Did you know that the "carbon offsets" that he buys are from his OWN eco-charity company. He's just buying stock in his own venture. How do you spell H Y P O C R I T E ?
