Quick update on dead 'gravid' boa

Just listened to my phone messages - my vet called and left a quick message about the cause of my hog island boa's death.

He could find no evidence of any pregnancy. No slugs or embryos at all. The cause of death was an intestinal abcess, where the intestine looped back on itself and became infected. This caused the swelling that I confused with her "litter" moving down towards her back half.

I still feel terrible - had I not thought she was pregnant, I would have known something was wrong.

I will post more information when I speak to the vet...
