They can eat something that is as wide as the widest part of them, even if they have a skinny neck. I have a small (200 grams) ball and she eats adult mice with no problem. Also, if you plan to feed frozen when he gets older I would stick with frozen now. I just got a couple older females that have only been feed live and have been having a hard time switching them.
