We have been selectivly breeding the best with the best to produce the best looking axanthics possibble. I think most axanthics go through shall we say an ugly stage as sub adults. Then as they move into adulthood they get the nice good colors we all want to see. Sure sometimes you get one that does not look as nice as you would like but I would say the majority of them now are coming out really nice. The problem is selling yearlings that are in the ugly stage and believing that once out of the teenage year they really do look awesome. Evidence of this happening is seen in the snowball as it matured. The snows hatch out very white and with time you see where the yellow was and it gets tinted and then is disappears again. In natural light our snow looks all white with the flash you can see where the yellow was orignally. She hates having pictures taken and only sits still for like one flash and then there is no more getting pics. I think the one I posted is the best pic of her so far. We just have our fingers crossed that she does produce. But we should get some snows this season. We have our albino het axanthic breeding her and double het females and some others so we hope to have some more for you to see this summer.
