They gave him a shot right into his stomach somewhere. They did it at the same time as they were sexing him. I personally did not see the shot administered.

As far as shedding, his skin looks nice and vibrant and doesn't show any signs of getting ready to shed.

I also put a hollow U shaped log for him to hide under in the cage. He wants nothing to do with it, and heads straight for the water, which happens to be on the cool side of the tank (85 degrees). His basking spot is at 95-96 degrees.

I recently fed him and would like for him to stay in the basking spot some of the time to aid in digestion and keep him healthy. He wants nothing to do with it. He goes straight into the water when i put him back in the cage.
