Putting them on top of a table that doesn't support the whole bottom, or putting something on top of them that puts weight in the center will cause them to sag.

I'm assuming you mean just the top or just the bottom of the cage.

If I run a large level over the top or the inside of my cages there are points in the centers that do not meet the level, the frame of the cage is fine, but I do know what you are talking about.
I don't think it will cause any harm though.

When you consider other companys whose cages break at the seems or sag in the front, crack or whatever else, the Boaphiles really hold up well.
