From a biological standpoint they are the same animal. It is handy to label localities by country though, although they might be more accurately (and less specifically) labeled guiana shield locale BCC(see http://www.2docstock.com/Suriname/Stinasu/guianashield.html). It isn't a bad thing to be too specific though, its nice to narrow down your animals origins as much as possible just out of interest. Its a shame that some hobbiest frown on an animal labelled as a guyana x suriname cross though, there is obsolutely no different between it and a "pure" suriname or a "pure" guayanese locale... but thats how some people think.
