Been using newspaper ever since I started this journey 4 years ago.An I am tired to the newspaper ink getting on my boas noses an bodies.Plus I have read in several places that not only does the aspen have advantages of better holding humidity but also helps to insulate an hold heat better than newspaper.So I will be starting the change over tomorrow an I have a few question's,If someone don't mind answering.Do I leave my digital thermometer probe where it is at,or do I need to raise it up,level with the aspen substrate?An last,How many inches of substrate do I line the bottom of the enclosier with?Babies will still get paper towels an then news paper till they are older an can safley be put on the aspen but at the moment I have nothing younger than a 2 year old.Thanks in advance for answering my question's an you all take care.Eric[Hypoboa]
